About El Nigro
El Nigro is known, as artist and tattoo artist, for his high-contrast dramatic ink works. The melancholic temperament, understood not as empty sadness, but as a profound acceptance and poetic sublimation of the vulnerability and emotional fragility of our time, is at the core of his work. Combining grotesque, surreal, and animalistic figures with narrative realism, his works use black ink to evoke and explore the psychological fragilities of childhood and the complex anxieties of adulthood. His characters often exist in a liminal space between waking and dreaming, thinking and acting, present and memory, serving as bridges between the human, animal, and natural worlds.
